Reason #1 why most embroiderers do not want to deal with a garment you bring to them

There is a damage rate with embroidery of about 2%. While those odds are low for any one item, it does happen. Most embroiderers would prefer to be able to replace a garment quietly from their own supplier rather than have to come back to you, hat in hand, asking where you bought your shirt.

That said, if the client acknowledges this risk and indicates that he or she is willing to incur the risk that the garment will be damaged and that the client will not hold the embroiderer responsible for the damage, the embroiderer will be more comfortable with the arrangement, though it still causes a reputation risk for the embroiderer if the garment doesn’t turn out right.
