That said, remember that life is full of trade-offs. There may be a point at which buying decorated apparel will not make economic sense.
With embroidery, you pay a set-up fee for your very first order to cover the cost of working with you to ensure that the embroidered logo we produce from your artwork meets your graphic standards. After that, you can order things in ones and twos. Larger orders will warrant a volume discount.
With screen printing, a single t-shirt printed in four colors on both sides would cost well over $150. However, once you start adding additional garments to your order, you start to spread the cost of the screen set-up charges around more units and the price per shirt quickly begins to seem more reasonable. For screen printed t-shirts, it doesn’t make sense to order fewer than twelve, but you would be wise to try to hit higher price points: 24, 48, 72, 108, 196, 512, 1024, etc.
